Just the article

All of the story. None of the clutter.

Earmark pulls out the article itself and leaves the rest behind: no ads, no cookie banners, no "subscribe to our newsletter." Then it adds a short spoken intro, so you know what's coming.

The episode

Listen

A voice you'll actually want to hear.

Not the flat robot voice built into your phone. Earmark uses a natural narrator voice that keeps a calm, steady pace, which is good for 5 minutes or 50.

Why Earmark

Built for the tabs you never get back to.

Your podcast app, your way

Episodes go to a standard podcast feed, so playback speed, downloads and queues work just like your other shows.

Just the article

Menus, ads, captions and sign-up boxes are stripped out. You hear the story, start to finish.

A natural voice

Read by a warm, human-sounding narrator, with a short intro naming the title, publication and author.

Private to you

Your feed has its own secret link. It's never listed in a podcast directory or shared with anyone.

Ready in minutes

Most articles turn into episodes in a minute or two. We text you the moment it's in your feed.

Text it or paste it

Share a link by text from any app on your phone, or paste it on your private feed page from your computer.

FAQ

Questions

Something else? Email [email protected].

Do I need to download an app?

No. You text links from your phone's normal messaging app and listen in whatever podcast app you already use.

Can I add articles from my computer?

Yes. Your welcome text includes a link to your private feed page. Bookmark it on your computer and paste any article link there. It goes into the same feed as the links you text.

How long does an episode take?

Usually a minute or two, depending on the article's length. We text you as soon as it's in your feed.

Which podcast apps work?

Any app that lets you add a show by its feed link, including Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Castro and AntennaPod. Spotify doesn't support private feeds, so it won't work there. We'll show you how when you sign up.

What about paywalled articles?

Earmark can only read what's publicly on the page. If an article is behind a paywall or a login, we'll text you to let you know instead of making a half-finished episode.

What texts will I get from Earmark?

Only replies about the links you send (usually two per link) and the occasional account or service notice. Earmark doesn't send marketing texts. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

Is there a limit?

Each person can send up to 25 articles a day, which keeps the service fast for everyone.

Who can hear my episodes?

Only people who have your private feed link. Don't share it, and if you ever need a new one, contact us.
